Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy (born November 25, 1968) is a Canadian actor and singer from Canada. She is most famous for her character on Law & Order as Claire Kincaid, a US prosecutor in the television show Law & Order for three seasons. Crossing Jordan was six seasons. Jordan Cavanaugh, the protagonist on Crossing Jordan, lasted six seasons. She has also acted on films like RoboCop 3 (most wanted) and Crossing Jordan (which she directed and wrote). Hennessy was born in Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy, her father, was a meat-salesman and a marketing/sales executive. His work required a lot of travel, which resulted in numerous moves for the entire family. Maxine, her mother, was secretary. Her daughter was taken away by Eleanor her paternal grandmother from Kitchener, Ontario. John Paul Hennessy Jr. is her younger brother. Jacqueline Hennessy is her identical twin sister. Jacqueline is an editor for a magazine in Canada. Hennessy is a mix of Irish, French French, Swedish and Italian roots from her father's side as well as predominantly Ukrainian Roma on the mother's. She attended Stanley Park Senior Public School and graduated from Grand River Collegiate Institute, both in Kitchener, Ontario, and utilized to be a busker on the Toronto subway. Hennessy as well as her sister were among the first to appear as twin call girl in 1988's Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, Gillian Anderson's sister, stated that she was shortlisted in The X-Files for Dana Scully's role. Hennessy also played the part of Dr. Marie Lazarus on RoboCop 3. In 1993, Dick Wolf signed Hennessy to play the role of Claire Kincaid assistant district attorney on Law & Order. She played the role for three seasons, and quit the show in 1996.
