Naomi Watts
Naomi Ellen Watts (born 28 September 1968) is the British actress from the UK. Her debut film role came in Australia in For Love Alone (1986), followed by three television series: Hey Dad.. (1990), Brides of Christ (911) and Home and Away (1991) and Flirting (1991). After making the move to the United States, Watts initially struggled to become an actress, playing roles in smaller-scale films until she appeared in David Lynch's psychological thriller Mulholland Drive in 2001 as an actress who was aspiring. Her rise to fame internationally was brought about by this part. Watts then portrayed a tortured journalist in the horror film The Ring (2002). She was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of a grieving mother in the Alejandro film 21 Grams (2003).
